Kapow Summer Reading Camp

• The camp will be 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM, M-F.

• We are going to offer 3 weeks of camp and you can register for the weeks you are available. The weeks of: 

• July 24th

• July 31

• Aug 7th

• It will cost $425 a week, you will get a $50 discount if you register for 2 weeks and a $100 discount if you register for all 3.

• We need a minimum of 8 students a week to run the camp. If a week is canceled due to under enrollment you can receive a full refund or credit your payment towards tutoring. 

• There will be 4-5 tutors (all of our regular, highly trained and experienced folks who tutor during the academic year NOT teenage camp counselors), so students will receive individualized instruction in small groups..

• We plan to limit the first year to 12 students per week drawn from our tutoring program and our microSchool program first, then we will open it up to new students. 

• The camp will occur at First United Methodist Church in downtown Lancaster at Duke and Lemon Streets.  There is free parking in the lot in back and Central Market is close by.

• Our goal is to make it fun while covering our normal lesson components and goals. We will review, reinforce and introduce some new lessons.

• Students will be grouped based on their current level within our curriculum and also with sensitivity to social needs.

• The camp will be especially good for students who need a change up over the summer or who may want a break from normal tutoring but still need some summer instruction.

• It is possible to combine the camp with individual tutoring.

Deadlines:

• Feb. 28th -  registration will open to new students. Space will be limited so if you want to secure your spot register ASAP

• April 1- Registration will close. 

• We will notify parents if a week is canceled due to under enrollment so they can register for a different week.
